Instagram, why your company needs to publish video content!

In June 2018, Instagram announced that they have surpassed the 1 billion users, 8 years after its launch. Instagram’s audience has even doubled in just two years. The app is booming and reigns over users under 30 years of age. Indeed, according to the Global Web Index:

  • 41% of Instagram users are between 16 and 24 years old.

Brands have understood this and are investing heavily in content and advertising. The proof is : 

  • 80% post  at   least one photo or video per week.

Video content on Instagram grows day by day, and seeing the number of users, your company must publish video content there. First of all, because video has a much higher interaction rate than photos. This represents an increase of about 21% compared to the photos. It is true that there is more work to make a video but you will see more results.  1- Adapt your videos to Instagram format

 

The duration of the videos varies according to the social networks but represents above all a “medium of commitment or even purchase trigger, the video is beneficial for your company. 2- Use story and IGTV to boost your video content

On Instagram you have the possibility to share your content by publishing it either on your account,  in a story or on the IGTV.  But by posting it on your news feed you won’t have much possibility because to hold the attention as said previously it takes 30 seconds for the video to last. With IGTV and stories you have a lot more opportunities to showcase your brand with powerful videos.

IGTV literally means Instagram Television and contrary to the stories that fade after 24h, the videos on IGTV remain present on the channel.

  • 30%   post at least 10-20 times per month

IGTV lets you create videos ranging from 3 minutes to 15 minutes. Ideal if you want to share a video with more immersive content.

Your videos must be  fun, young and colorful   to get your message, ideas and feelings out.

It allows your followers to enter the world of your brand. But it is above all to target a young audience that relays information at high speed. A video can create a buzz and be seen by millions of people if the content is of interest to people under 30.

3- Subtitled, Captioned, Published!

On Instagram as in most other social networks, the sound is increasingly muted. Often because people watch videos listening to music at the same time or because they are in noisy or incompatible places for sound.

The Brut videos have highlighted the subtitles in each of their videos and now you won’t be able to see a video without subtitles.

That’s why when you share a video content, you absolutely must create subtitles when a person is interviewed. Or add text content to your video to get a message across.
