Who are we?
Il est une fois is an audiovisual production agency founded in 2002 by David Baudry. Where are we based? At 167 Boulevard Montparnasse, Paris 75006. For over 20 years, we have been supporting brands, businesses and public institutions in the creation of bespoke video content: corporate films, live recordings, motion design, video podcasts, TV adverts, social media videos and AI-generated video.
We produce between 100 and 200 videos a year, across all formats, and have completed several thousand projects since the agency was founded. We operate in France and internationally, in both French and English, and regularly work on a white-label basis for communications agencies.
The agency has offices in Nice and Brussels, a video podcast studio in Bourg-la-Reine (Île-de-France), and a wide network of partner studios and filming locations in Paris and throughout France.

Our story
The name Il est une fois embodies a simple belief: every company, every institution, every project has a story to tell. Not a story of the past, but a story of today – one that is alive, relevant and inspires action.
Founded in 2002 by David Baudry, the agency was built on an approach inherited from cinema and advertising: every film is crafted with the care of a cinematic production, regardless of its length or the medium through which it is shown.

FAQ
The agency produces corporate films, commercials, documentaries, short films, event videos and content for social media. Its production services also include 2D/3D motion graphics, live filming and the creation of 360° virtual reality content.
Each project follows four stages: analysis of objectives and target audience, development of the creative strategy (format, script, visual style), production (filming supervised by a dedicated production manager), followed by post-production with delivery of a first draft within 24 to 48 hours. Any adjustments are then made through a series of rapid online revisions.
The agency operates across a wide range of sectors, including technology, healthcare, transport, fashion, construction, property, sport and the food industry. This versatility stems from the team’s ability to understand the specific challenges of each sector before proposing a tailored creative approach
The agency has offices in Paris and Brussels, and operates throughout France and Belgium, as well as internationally. The team works in French and English. David Baudry has worked in Morocco, China and the United States, which has fostered a working culture well-suited to multicultural projects.
The standard turnaround time is approximately five working days after filming. For urgent projects, the agency can deliver within 24 hours. This turnaround is made possible by the fact that post-production is carried out entirely in-house and the technical team is available around the clock.
Owning our own equipment and working with a permanent team eliminates the need for intermediaries. This results in controlled costs, seamless communication and the ability to make adjustments in real time. Changes are implemented within the hour, without having to rely on external contractors.
